Terms of use
The terms on which this site is offered. Nothing is sold here, which keeps them short.
Updated 16 September 2026
1. Who these terms are between
In these pages, "Covalli", "we" and "us" mean the Covalli brand and the United States importer that owns it and operates this site. Our full legal name and mailing address are available on request.
By using this site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. They apply to everyone who visits, whether or not you ever fill in a form.
2. Age and eligibility
You must be 21 or older to use this site. That is why it opens with an age gate, and passing it is a statement by you that you are 21 or older.
This site is intended for people in the United States. The Covalli range is distributed in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, and we make no representation that any wine on it is available anywhere else.
3. Drinking responsibly, and no health claims
Bevi responsabilmente. Please enjoy Covalli responsibly.
Nothing on this site is a health, dietary, curative or therapeutic claim, and nothing on it should be read as saying that drinking alcohol is good for you. The zero-alcohol sparkling is a wine made without alcohol; it is not a health product and we make no health claim for it either.
Tasting notes and food pairings are subjective descriptions written to help you choose a bottle. They are not nutritional information, dietary advice or a promise about how a wine will taste to you.
4. Nothing is sold here
This site is a place to read about the wines and find out who stocks them. You cannot buy anything on it. There is no cart, no checkout, no payment and no order.
No prices appear on this site, and none will. The shops and restaurants that carry Covalli set their own prices and decide their own range, independently of us.
5. What is on the wine pages
We take care to get the wine pages right, and we correct them when they are wrong. Even so, they describe a range that moves.
- Vintage states - current, coming soon, leaving soon, past - describe our own stock position at the time the page was built, not what is on a shelf near you.
- Appellations, classifications, alcohol strengths and other specifications come from the producers’ own sheets. Where a sheet and a label disagree, the label governs.
- Availability is never guaranteed. A wine listed here may already be gone, and a wine that has gone may return with a new vintage.
6. The store directory
The directory is a compilation of the shops and restaurants recorded in our distribution records at the time the page was built. It is a printed list, not a live inventory.
Stock, hours and ownership change constantly, and a business that carries one Covalli wine may not carry the one you are looking for. Call ahead before making a journey.
A listing is not an endorsement, and it does not mean a business is connected to us. Every business listed is independent, decides for itself what to stock, and sets its own prices. Nobody pays to be listed, no listing is given greater prominence than another, and no price appears anywhere in the directory.
7. Reviews and scores
Where a score appears, it is quoted from the publication named beside it, and it applies to the vintage named beside it and to no other. We show the publication, the score, the date and the vintage together, or we show nothing at all.
The publications are independent of us. They are not affiliated with Covalli, they do not sponsor or endorse Covalli, and their names appear here only to identify the source of a quoted review. A score is a critic’s opinion of one wine at one moment. It is not an award, a prize or an approval by anyone.
8. The wine club
The wine club page is an enquiry, not a shop. Submitting the form sends us a request for information. It is not an order, it does not commit you to anything, and it does not commit us to shipping anything.
- Nothing is packed or sent until we have replied and you have confirmed by email.
- Any shipment is fulfilled only by a party licensed to make it, and only where the law of the recipient’s state permits it.
- Whether membership is possible at all depends on where you are. Wine shipping law differs state by state and changes.
- Delivery requires someone 21 or older to be present and to show identification and sign. A carrier will not leave wine unattended.
- We may decline any request, for any reason, and we may withdraw or change the shipments described on that page.
The shipment sizes and member terms shown on the wine club page are examples pending confirmation, and the page says so. This section is what you are agreeing to when you tick the box on that form.
9. Sell sheets and tech sheets
The sell sheets and tech sheets offered for download are the producers’ own documents, provided for reference. Rights in them remain with the producers.
A sheet may have been superseded by a newer one, and where a sheet and the bottle in your hand disagree, the label governs. You may download and print a sheet for your own use or for your business. You may not republish one, alter one, or strip the producer’s marks from one.
10. Accessibility
We want this site to be usable by everyone, and the accessibility statement sets out where it stands and how to tell us when it falls short.
If any part of this site or any document on it is not accessible to you, ask and we will give you the same content in a form you can use.
11. Our marks and our content
Covalli is a registered trade mark. The crest, the wordmark, the label artwork, the bottle photography, the tasting notes and the arrangement of these pages belong to us or are used by us with permission.
You may read the site, print a page for yourself, and share a link to it. You may not copy the site or a substantial part of it, present our content as your own, use our marks in a way that suggests a connection that does not exist, or use anything here to sell something.
Third-party marks - the names of the publications that have reviewed the wines, and the producers named on the sheets - belong to their owners. They appear here only to identify who said or made what, and their appearance implies no affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement in either direction.
12. The directory is a compilation
The store directory represents substantial work: it is compiled, cleaned and maintained by us from our own records, and the selection and arrangement of it is protected as a compilation.
You may look up a shop, and you may look up as many shops as you like. You may not extract the directory. Specifically, you may not copy it in bulk, scrape it by automated means, harvest it into another database or list, use it for text or data mining, or use it to train a machine learning model. We expressly reserve all rights in it against those uses.
13. Things you must not do
- Get past the age gate by giving a date of birth that is not yours, or help anyone else do so.
- Access the site or the data behind it by automated means, including scripted requests to the directory data.
- Frame the site, or present it inside another site as if it were part of that site.
- Remove or alter the attribution on a review, or quote a score without the publication, the date and the vintage it belongs to.
- Use the directory to build a competing list, or to solicit the businesses in it.
- Interfere with the site, probe it for weaknesses, or try to get at anything on it that is not published.
- Use the site for anything unlawful.
14. Anything you send us
If you send us a suggestion, a correction or an idea, you give us permission to use it without owing you anything for it. We are not looking to take anyone’s ideas; the point of this clause is that we cannot promise to keep an unsolicited idea confidential or to pay for one.
So please do not send us anything confidential, and do not send us anything you are not free to share.
15. Communicating by email
When you write to us or ask about the wine club, you agree that we may answer by email, and that anything we send you that way meets any requirement that it be in writing.
16. The site may change
We may add, change, withdraw or discontinue any part of this site at any time and without notice: a wine, a vintage, a sheet, a directory entry, a page, or the whole thing. We do not promise the site will always be available or always be free of error.
17. Disclaimer
This site is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties about it of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, that it will be free of error, that the information on it is complete or current, or that a wine listed here is available anywhere in particular.
18. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss arising out of your use of this site, including a wasted journey to a shop, a wine that turned out to be unavailable, or a decision taken on the strength of something you read here.
Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Some states do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages, so parts of this section and the one above it may not apply to you.
19. Indemnity
If your use of this site in breach of these terms causes a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable cost of dealing with it.
20. Governing law and where disputes are heard
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of this site is to be brought in the state and federal courts sitting in New York, New York, and you and we each agree to that.
21. Notices to us
Notices to us under these terms are to be sent by email to legal@covallivineyards.com.
22. Changes to these terms
These terms were last updated on 16 September 2026. We may change them, and the date at the top of the page says when they last changed. Using the site after a change means you accept the changed terms, so it is worth a look if it has been a while.
23. The rest
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands and the unenforceable part is read as narrowly as it needs to be.
These terms, together with the privacy policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about this site. If we do not enforce something straight away, we have not given it up. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours to whoever takes on the Covalli brand.
