Tasting note

Compared to other prestigious terroirs where Nebbiolo grows, the Monferrato DOC Nebbiolo has a deeper colour, well-structured body, and a fine and persistent bouquet filled with notes of rose, violet, slightly spicy in cloves. The palate is elegant with graceful tannins.

At the table

Ideal with red and white meats rich in dressing. It pairs well with elaborate first courses. Recommended as well as a by-the-glass wine.

“This Nebbiolo from Monferrato offers scents of church candles and dried rose petals with smoky frankincense and ripe cherry flesh. The palate is amply structured but still delivers big, juicy fruits. Think strawberries, black cherry, spiced clove, and roasted cinnamon notes finish with tart Montmorency cherry and dried exotic spices.”

Vinification

After the harvest the grapes follow a long maceration and fermentation at controlled temperature. The wine is then refined for a year in traditional concrete tanks.
